Thoughts & Things for Today

Another week of summer has gone by, and I – an avid Autumn enthusiast would normally be eagerly counting down the days until that crispy crunch of fallen leaves is underfoot … however … gulp – dare I say that with each passing year I am more inclined to cherish each day. Yes, even the humid & hot ones.

Now just hang on, there is more to this than me going a little off kilter; I have decided to approach the season with a new resolve. Summer has previously been sold to me as a time of activities, generally out in the glaring hot sun while my mainly Scottish genes fry away & I feel like I may pass out or puke. This summer however I have s l o w e d down and chosen to venture outside when the sun is rising or setting more so than when it’s at its peak.

In slowing down I find I am noticing more subtle signs from Spirit that I know I would have missed by rushing (or by avoiding outdoors at all costs).

The sunrises have been spectacular to watch, the surprise of morning dew glistening on the particle of a wish (dandelion fluff)…the magpie feather left smack dab in the middle of my path, or the extremely cool band-winged meadowhawk dragonfly I captured at sunset! I would have definitely been sad to have missed these signs and moments.

Have you ever felt so lost that you forget to ask for, and watch for signs from The Universe? Well this is your reminder that your guides and angels are there with you, they’re waiting and ready to assist you; but sometimes that means dangling your toes a bit further out of your comfort zone, trying something new and asking for their help.

Try it and see what comes of it.

Coming to you from dawn & dusk.

Jilly.
